What’s Included

Services Included – A fully furnished bedroom. Access to laundry and basic kitchen facilities. The homestay fee also covers charges for utilities such as electricity and gas but not for telephone calls.

Wireless internet is available to you for research, homework and email.

Host will also provide toilet paper, hand soap, washing powder or liquid, towels, and bed linen.

Student are expected to bring their own toiletries and personal items such as toothpaste, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer.

Location and Transport – Students will usually need to travel up to 50 minutes on public transport form their homestay to their school.

Meals – Depending on the rate you are paying, some students will have 3 meals per day included, others may have 2 meals on weekdays (breakfast and dinner) and 3 meals on weekends.

The student is to prepare their own breakfast and lunch from ingredients provided by the host. Dinner is prepared by the Host seven days a week. Please inform your host of your likes and dislikes.

Laundry – Some homestays find it easier to do the washing and the ironing for students. Others may allow you to do your own washing. Please negotiate with your host.

Cleaning – Students are expected to clean their own bedroom and keep it tidy. Please be tidy throughout the house. When using such areas as the kitchen or bathroom please make sure they are left clean and tidy.

General House Rules – Every homestay family have their own house rules. Your host family will explain their rules to you when you arrive. If you do not understand any of the rules, please speak to your host or contact SAS or your caregiver.
