Homestay is where students live in the private home of an approved homestay family.
Our minimum length of stay is two weeks, unless previously agreed upon.
We do not have a maximum length of stay.
Yes, food is included. You can choose from 3 meals per day, or 2 meals per day.
The weekly accommodation rate ranges from $375 to $410 depending on what meal plan you choose and single or twin share rooms.
There is also a one-off placement fee per student.

We can invoice schools/agents for the placement and accommodations fees, or we can invoice the students/parents directly. Whichever you prefer.
Our invoices can be paid by bank transfers, or online by credit card.
Students will usually need to travel up to 50 minutes on public transport form their homestay to their school.
Yes, we accept students of all nationalities.
We accept all students over the age of 12 years old.
No, unfortunately we cannot help with visa applications or flight bookings.
We can arrange an airport pickup service to meet the students at the airport and deliver them directly to their homestays, or you can arrange your own pickup service if you prefer.
Alternatively, for group bookings you can have the students delivered to the school and the homestay hosts can pick the students up from the school. A SAS representative will greet the group at the school and make sure students are picked up by the correct host.
No, hosts do not drive students to and from school each day. Usually, students will be required to travel by public transport. The host will teach the student how to travel on public transport.
For short stays, we can arrange a driver to pick up and drop off students each day.
We will have all homestay information sent to you a minimum of one week prior to the arrival date. If you require the details earlier, please let us know when you make the booking.
All family members over the age of 18 years have a current Working with Children and Police Check.
All homestay homes have been inspected by a SAS representative.
Yes, it is a requirement that all hosts provide Wi-Fi for students.
Yes, hosts will talk and interact with students on a daily basis. Hosts will also sit and eat regular meals with students.
Yes, all hosts registered with SAS are covered under our homestay insurance policy.
Yes, we recommend all students have health insurance and insurance for their own personal items.
