Student Accommodation Services Pty. Ltd. (SAS) is a long established Company. From the outset its objective has been to place students in responsible, safe, enjoyable and caring households. We encourage our homestays to share their activities and Australian lifestyle with their students and to provide a climate where they can achieve their educational goals.

The Company aims to provide a high degree of customer satisfaction, maintain its present position as a leader in its field and operates in an efficient and ethical manner. Our professional staff has set such standards that SAS is now the primary homestay provider for many of the major Institutes and Colleges throughout Victoria and has successfully placed students from countries all over Asia, South America and the Middle East.

Directors Statement

I have been married to my husband Peter for 40 years and have raised three children of my own. Peter was an economics teacher in secondary schools throughout country Victoria. On retiring from teaching he worked for a large manufacturing company and now Peter assists in interviewing prospective homestay hosts.

In following my husband’s career path I have experienced many occupations and volunteer activities. I have worked for Government agencies, transport companies, country newspapers and legal firms as well working in aged care facilities. Over the years I have held the position of President, Secretary and Treasurer of kindergartens, schools and football clubs as well as a school councillor.

My involvement in the homestay industry began in 1998. From this time on I have continued to play a hands on role in the running of the business. During this time my husband and I have hosted students and trainees from around the world. ( Japan, Russia, Indonesia, Brazil, Hong Kong, Vietnam, China and Korea). These students ranged in age from 13 to 40. They include both male and female students and their length of stay ranged from two weeks to 12 months.

With our combined life experiences we can truly say to hosts, institutes and students WE COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND YOUR NEEDS!

Our Commitment to You:

· All host families are visited by a SAS member of staff as to their personal suitability for providing homestay.

· All members of host families aged 18 years and above must provide a current Victoria Police Clearance and Working with Children card.

· All host families are constantly reviewed as to their continuing suitability as a host.

· Should the student not settle into his/her host family within a three month period, another host family will be found at no charge. A total of three (3) host families will be supplied.

A 24 hour emergency support service is provide to ensure peace of mind for both students and homestays.
The homestay rate quoted will be fully paid to the host ensuring value for money. We guarantee that no hidden commission is deducted from your money by SAS.
Our host will provide three meals a day.
There is no penalty for being under 18.
We believe all our hosts to be "special" therefore we apply a standard rate for all.
